About the Birmingham and Midlands Shared Services Forum
The Birmingham and Midlands Shared Services Forum is part of Business Birmingham, the city’s inward investment programme, operated by Marketing Birmingham and is aimed at those leading and working in the Shared Services community.
The Forum is a conduit for the sharing of knowledge, information, best practice and latest thinking in areas of interest to all Shared Services professionals in Birmingham and the Midlands, whatever the discipline.
The Forum, which includes representatives from international companies with local SSCs including Interserve, MacDonalds and Rentokil, provides strategic advice on issues such as human resources, employee relocation, sector data as well as providing an essential platform for local knowledge sharing and networking.
Purpose
- Providing a consultative and advisory forum that addresses inward investment matters arising in Birmingham and Midlands, with particular reference to the requirements of the Shared Services and Business Process Outsourcing sector.
- Facilitating co-operation and maximising synergies between relevant Shared Services Sector organisations and partnerships in Birmingham and the Midlands.
- Having an active role in the development and promotion of the Shared Services sector in order to increase the volume of high value inward investment and job opportunities in Birmingham and the Midlands.
- Networking among Forum members to sharing knowledge and experiences.
- Discussion and debate about issues that affect Shared Services competitiveness in Birmingham and the Midlands.
- Providing updates on developments within the Shared Services and Business Process Outsourcing industry.
