Influential Indian Culinary Show to Film in Birmingham
As part of its strategy to promote Birmingham’s food offer internationally,
the City hosts New Delhi TV to film two episodes of its award winning culinary show.
Birmingham is set to have its culinary credentials showcased on New Delhi TV, which has an audience of 59 million people.
The New Delhi TV crew and celebrity host, Vinod Dua, will be hosted by Visitbirmingham.com next week to film two episodes of its award winning programme ‘Zaika India Ka’ (A Taste of India). The show is due to be broadcast at primetime this autumn, and will also be available via the channel’s website: www.ndtv.com.
The theme of the two episodes will be Indian food, and its metamorphosis in Britain. The crew will be sampling many of Birmingham’s fantastic Indian eateries – including Imrans, Mushtaq, Jyoti’s, Chennai Dosa, Lasan Eatery, Pushkar and Asha’s – and interviewing managers and chefs to appear in the programmes. The crew will also be filming Birmingham’s energetic Indian community during a series of walkabouts around the city.
