Londoners are being given the chance to reunite with loved ones from Birmingham this month. “Birmingham Reunited” is part of a celebration to mark the centenary of Birmingham’s Moor Street Station.

Chiltern Railways are offering Londoners the opportunity to travel for free to Birmingham’s Moor Street station on Saturday, June 27, to catch up with an old Birmingham school friend or long lost aunty.

Kirsteen Robertson, Head of Marketing and PR for Chiltern, said: “Over the past 100 years, Birmingham has become home to thousands of people from all over the world – and we thought this would be a great opportunity to reunite as part of Moor Street Station’s centenary celebrations.

“Birmingham’s Moor Street Station celebrates its centenary on June 27 with Chiltern hosting a range of festivities. There will be different stalls on the platform, people from Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter will be giving free valuations and there will be a flat pack cinema and face painting, and a whole lot more.

“The day’s events are all about showing that Birmingham's got talent - a wealth of hidden gems that people from outside the city probably are not aware of.”

Kirsteen continued: “The city has fantastic shopping, hotels, theatres, restaurants and there is so much more for families to do. In many ways Birmingham is far too modest and we need to shout about the city more!

“There are great links provided now between London and Birmingham Moor Street so there really is no excuse for delaying a reunion with Birmingham friends for any longer.”

In order to claim up to two of the 100 free tickets to travel from London to Birmingham’s Moor Street Station you must apply before the closing date of June 23. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
