B-Hive scheme creates a buzz for city’s students

Marketing Birmingham is supporting the next generation of marketing and creative talent through the unique B-Hive scheme. Developed in partnership with Pitch Consultants, the scheme will award 80 weeks of paid work experience placements at the city's leading agencies and in-house teams to 24 talented students. Companies involved include AGA, Central Office of Information, Golly Slater, Leader, McCann Erickson, Seal, TAMBA and Unsuitable. To secure a coveted placement, students have been challenged to respond to a creative brief to address how they would market Birmingham's green credentials.

The new B-Hive website, www.bhive-creative.com also features a series of exclusive filmed and written interviews with participating employers to support and encourage students in preparing their proposals. The interviews provide a valuable insight into why the companies have decided to back B-Hive, what students will be doing during their placements and crucially, what makes a successful applicant.
