Talksport Breakfast Show comes to the city

The award-winning Alan Brazil’s Sport Breakfast show on national radio station Talksport was broadcast live from City Inn, Brindleyplace, this December in an action-packed four hours of Birmingham-themed events and interviews.

Between 6am and 10am on 18 December, Alan Brazil and Ronnie Irani were joined by a host of guests from across the city to talk about sport and generally espouse on what a fabulous city Birmingham is.

Interviewees included Steve Hollingworth, Birmingham City Council's Assistant Director of Sports and Events; Paul Faulkner, Chief Executive of Aston Villa; Michael Dunford, Chief Executive of Birmingham City Football Club and Ian Taylor, Aston Villa football legend.

Visit Birmingham also arranged interviews with representatives from Birchfield Harriers, Birmingham Blitz Derby Dames and Moseley Rugby Club.

To make the event even more special, guests were treated to the sounds of Tipitina, who will be entertaining us with their own brand of Christmas jazz.

Presenter Alan Brazil concluded today’s broadcast by saying "Birmingham put on the best breakfast show we've had in ages"

Talksport attracts 1.8 million listeners and is transmitted on 1089 and 1053 kHz across the UK and digitally via DAB digital radio, Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media, Freesat and Tiscali TV and online at www.talksport.net.
