Employers Welcomed to the Hive
The roll-call of employers for B-Hive 2010 is growing by the day, with 20 of Birmingham’s leading creative agencies and brands lining up to offer paid work experience placements for students looking for their big break.
New companies and organisations including Aga, Central Office of Information (COI), Willoughby PR, Cogent and TAMBA are joining the seasoned panel of agencies that took part in B-Hive 2009, such as One Black Bear, McCann Erickson Communications House Birmingham and Seal Communications to offer 80 weeks of placements across 24 students.
Ollie Purdom, Director of Pitch Consultants said, “Following the success of B-Hive earlier this year, we were determined to double the number of opportunities available to students looking to break into the creative and marketing sector. We’re delighted to have the support of such a strong group of organisations, all of which have something different to offer.”
Emma Gray, head of marketing at Marketing Birmingham, said: “The increased number of companies getting involved is proof that B-Hive is a scheme of real worth to employers. These organisations are among some of the best in the UK and have a wealth of expertise which B-Hive winners can benefit and learn from. It’s great that Birmingham’s marketing and creative sector is working together in order to deliver this scheme.”
