New Chef at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry

The Ricoh Arena’s new head chef Tom Harris is used to living life in the fast lane.

The 32-year-old has moved to the £113 million complex in Coventry from Silverstone in Northamptonshire where he held the same position for four years.

The highlight was the annual British Grand Prix where 12,000 diners were served in three days in the corporate hospitality areas.

Tom is looking forward to the different challenges of being responsible for the cuisine served on Coventry City match days as well as the numerous conferences, exhibitions and dinner-dances held at the Ricoh Arena each week.

“I enjoyed my time at Silverstone but I was looking for a new challenge and this will provide that,” he said.

“The Ricoh Arena is a wonderful venue with great facilities and I want to be part of that.

“There is a lot of variety here since one evening I am in charge of a banquet for 900 people and the next day there is corporate dining in a number of suites when Coventry City have a home match.

“There are nine chefs at the Ricoh and we constantly need to be on our toes because the food we serve leaves a lasting impression on our guests so we need to make sure we provide top-class standards every time.”

The Liverpool supporter has also worked at Wolverhampton Racecourse as a sous chef for four years which gave him the opportunity to work at the Aintree Grand National, Cheltenham Gold Cup, The Goodwood Festival of Speed and Glorious Goodwood.
