Saffron chef at top homes show
One of Birmingham’s culinary kings is to give visitors to one of the UK’s leading contemporary home shows top tips on how to cook Indian dishes.
Sudha Shankar Saha, Executive Chef at leading Indian restaurant Saffron in Oldbury will be demonstrating his skills at Grand Designs Live at the National Exhibition Centre from October 8-10.
Sudha will be giving his cooking demonstrations at a showcase designer kitchen in the Grand Kitchens section of the show, which last year attracted 43,000 visitors.
He was invited to take part after presenting his own dishes on TV shows such as the Channel 4 series IronChef and events including the national finals of the Gastronomy Team of the Year Competition in London earlier this year.
Saffron recently won the Midland title in the 2010 Good Food Guide Readers’ Restaurant of the Year Awards for its innovative cuisine and outstanding service.
Sudha Shankar Saha said: “I am delighted to have been asked to cook at such a prestigious show and hope it will lead to many more visitors coming to sample Saffron’s succulent range of Asian dishes infused with a modern Western twist.”
