Lasan crowned UK’s best Indian restaurant by the F Word
Lasan has been awarded best UK Indian restaurant by Gordon Ramsay on his TV show The F Word. The Jewellery Quarter based restaurant won the title on last week’s show following a cook off against The Curry Corner restaurant in Cheltenham. The current series, which is broadcast Tuesday evenings on Channel 4, searches for the best restaurant in various culinary categories ending in the ultimate accolade of best UK restaurant.
Jabbar Khan, owner of Lasan, says: “We were competing against a strong, long established competitor in the final, but a fantastic performance by chef Aktar and Aysan resulted in a very convincing victory.
“We are very appreciative of the contribution from many of our customers in the recent tasting sessions held to ensure that our dishes were really delicious - a fact that was clearly confirmed by Gordon Ramsay's own comments during the programme. “
We wish Lasan luck for future progress in The F Word competition!
