Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire, has, for the second consecutive year, been named the Best UK Attraction for Children at the Group Leisure awards.

The awards, held at the NEC Hilton Metropole in Birmingham last night, were voted for by the readers of groupleisure.com and Group Leisure magazine. This once again further demonstrates Drayton Manor’s success and popularity with those organising days out for groups of youngsters.

The theme park has a number of popular rides and attractions to enjoy, including Thomas Land™, where younger children can enjoy 12 themed rides based on the characters from the Thomas & Friends™ television series, as well as indoor and outdoor play areas, a café and a shop.

Thomas fans of all ages can also enjoy the Discover Thomas & Friends Exhibition, where they can watch as Thomas and his friends go full steam ahead around the original sets from the highly acclaimed Thomas & Friends TV series.

For those youngsters wanting something a little more daring, they can experience some of the biggest, wettest and scariest rides around, including Apocalypse, G-Force and Shockwave. There’s also the sensational 4D Cinema, currently showing Happy Feet, and a 15-acre zoo, where visitors can enjoy seeing over 100 animal species from all over the world and learn more about conservation and sustainability.
