Builders will be able to fix it at a trade exhibition at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry

Toolfair 2008 is expected to attract about 3,000 tradesmen and women to the hands-on event from Professional Builder magazine in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall between 10am and 4pm on Thursday, September 18, and Friday, September 19.

Visitors from throughout the UK will have the opportunity to see, touch and try the latest power tools, hand tools and building equipment.

Elex 2008 will run alongside the two-day show which is Professional Electrician’s dedicated trade show to ensure electricians are up-to-date with all the latest products, techniques, rules and regulations within the electrical industry.

Dominic Shannon from event organisers Hamerville Magazines said this was the third successive year Toolfair had been held at the Ricoh Arena.

He said: “We try to attract as many tradesmen and women as possible which is why we take Toolfair to venues in different parts of the country throughout the year.

“The whole purpose of the trade-only show is to allow people from the industry to see the latest power and hand tools being put through their paces in real-life situations before they buy them.

“Over 100 suppliers will be there including most major tool manufacturers and as well as demonstrating their new products, there will be some great discounts.

“There will also be hundreds of spot prizes and giveaways and every visitor will receive a free bacon roll and a Professional Tradesman T-shirt.

“This has been a really popular event for the last two years and we are confident it will be a huge success once again.”

Dominic Fleming, head of sales at the Ricoh Arena, said the Jaguar Exhibition Hall was becoming increasingly popular with organisers of trade shows.

“To expect to attract around 3,000 people over two days to Toolfair highlights the popularity of the event and the attractiveness of the Ricoh as a location and its excellent facilities,” he said.

“There will be a real buzz about this show with all the products being demonstrated and suppliers passing on expert advice.”
