BBC Haymarket Launches Three Shows, One Amazing Event
BBC Haymarket Exhibitions is delighted to announce the co-location of three of its most successful shows, BBC Gardeners’ World Live, BBC Good Food Summer Festival and BBC Good Homes Live into one amazing event to take place at The NEC, Birmingham between, 13-17 June 2007. The three shows will bring together over 900 exhibitors and over 150,000 visitors passionate about food, their home and gardening. The new format creates the biggest ever 5-day lifestyle event in the Midlands offering visitors a fantastic shopping and entertainment experience whilst giving exhibitors the opportunity to reach even larger audiences.

Extensive research by BBC Haymarket Exhibitions and TGI has shown that both visitors at earlier shows expressed a strong interest in homes, food and gardening. The co-location of BBC Good Homes Live and BBC Good Food Summer Festival in May 2006 proved an enormous success, and a staggering £3.8 million was spent over four days by visitors. BBC Gardeners’ World Live is regarded by the industry as the gardening event of the year. The co-location with BBC Good Food Summer Festival and BBC Good Homes Show Live will create a major event guaranteed to attract the loyal enthusiasts of each show and also draw in a whole new audience.

The themed music evenings will allow visitors to sit and picnic amongst the award winning gardens, whilst enjoying the outdoor music and entertainment. The show will also feature a 2,000 seat super-theatre which will showcase demonstrations on food, interior design, property and gardening, as well as live performances from celebrity experts.”
BBC Gardeners’ World Live in association with the Royal Horticultural Society is in its 15th year and brings together the very best in gardening. The show features over 35 stunning show gardens, award winning floral displays, appearances by TV favourites such as Alan Titchmarsh, Monty Don and the best in garden shopping. This year’s show was attended by over 113,000+ visitors of which 78% visited in order to get inspirations and ideas.
BBC Good Food Summer Festival offers visitors the opportunity to indulge their passion for gourmet summer foods and experience live demonstrations from celebrity chefs. The show features include The Summer Kitchen and The Summer Drinks Tasting Theatre. 74% of the audience to the BBC Good Food Summer Festival visit the show to taste, try and buy new food and drink ingredients.
BBC Good Homes Live is the most successful homes show in the Midlands. The show celebrates every aspect of life in the home, bringing together the very latest in contemporary and classic interior design and features celebrity experts including Laurence Llewelyn Bowen. 86% of visitors to this years show attended the event specifically to get inspiration and advice on their home.
The show is backed by the full support of the BBC Magazines. Dedicated coverage will include market leading BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, BBC Good Homes magazine and BBC Good Food magazine. With additional support from Olive, Homes and Antiques magazine, Easy Gardening and Radio Times offering a total readership of over 2 million each month. The show will be promoted via a high profile marketing campaign including advertising, direct mail and public relations worth over £2million.
