Austin Reed Makes an Arrival Birmingham Airport
Passengers travelling through Birmingham International Airport (BIA) now have access to even more choice with the arrival of international lifestyle brand, Austin Reed.
The new 140 sqm outlet is located in the Terminal Two departure lounge and offers business and leisure travellers an extensive range of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, including casual and business attire, all at tax free prices.
A further Austin Reed outlet is planned to open landside in Terminal One early next year, serving all Birmingham Airport visitors.
Ray Savage, Head of Market Development Commercial for the Airport, said, “Terminal Two has a very high mix of frequent flyers, particularly business travellers, who don’t have the luxury of taking lots of time out for shopping trips, so we see this new facility being ideal for those wanting to indulge themselves and to take advantage of the tax free prices, whilst waiting for their flight.”
Neil Parker, Retail Operations Director for Austin Reed said, “BIA is undergoing a very impressive stage in its development and we are delighted to be working in partnership with the commercial development team in this new venture. We look forward to building our relationship with the growing numbers of passengers flying from BIA and the opening of our second store in T1 in early 2007.
Austin Reed’s arrival at Birmingham is part of the Airport’s extensive redevelopment programme in Terminal Two, which has included the creation of several new check-in desks, an improved duty and tax free offer, and the imminent redevelopment of the terminal’s catering facility which will begin at the end of September 2006.
Austin Reed has signed a five year contract with the Airport and all account customers can use their loyalty cards in the new outlets.
