Summer Bus Link Helps Families Enjoy Theme Park Fun
A bus link between Tamworth Railway Station and Drayton Manor Theme Park is proving a big hit with families looking to enjoy a great day out this summer.
The service, which has been running since July, is the result of a partnership between the award-winning theme park and CrossCountry, one of Britain’s largest train operators. The service allows visitors to Drayton Manor to save time by buying rail plus bus ‘combination’ tickets online at www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk.
The CrossCountry bus link will continue to run every Friday and Saturday until 29th August, departing from Tamworth railway station at 10:30 and 11:00 and leaving Drayton Manor for the return journey at 16:00 and 16:30. Bus tickets from Tamworth station to Drayton Manor can also be bought at any rail station or on the bus on the day.
Drayton Manor is the home of Europe's only Thomas Land™ and also boasts some of the biggest, wettest and scariest rides around including G-Force, Maelstrom, and Apocalypse. There’s also a zoo, which is home to more than 100 animal species from around the world.
Colin Bryan, Managing Director, Drayton Manor Theme Park, comments: “I’m really pleased that families are making use of the new bus link this summer. Not only does it offer them a chance to save money, but also help to ease congestion and reduce their carbon footprint, as well as making their overall experience more relaxed”.
