The Ricoh Arena will host the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts for a second successive year in 2009.
The tournament, featuring the world's best eight darts stars battling for a £125,000 first prize, visited Coventry earlier this year for a first time, and it was played in front of a sell-out crowd.
The Ricoh Arena will host the third of 14 league nights in next year's event on Thursday, February 19, with tickets going on sale next month.
“The Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts has grown to become the biggest indoor sporting event in the UK over the past four years,” said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
“Its development into a major arena spectacle has been nothing short of sensational - it's the ticket every sports fan in the UK wants!”
Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, said the Premier League Darts was a massive success in the city in February this year.
“The Jaguar Exhibition Hall was a total sell-out and I am fully expecting it to be the case again this year,” he said.
“Anyone who wants to come along to experience this fantastic sport is advised to buy their tickets as early as possible."
The tournament, screened live on Sky Sports, will begin on February 5 in Liverpool and also includes visits to Belfast, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Exeter before the play-offs in May at the Wembley Arena.
Phil Taylor claimed a fourth successive title in Cardiff in May 2008, and will be one of the eight competitors battling for £400,000 prize money next year.
“The Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts is a massive tournament now and I love competing in it,” said Taylor.
“It was amazing this year to play in front of such massive crowds every week - it was like a Cup Final wherever we went and I'm sure it will be brilliant again next year.”
