The Spirit of the Beijing Olympics comes to Cadbury World

The latest event in 2008 to come to Birmingham’s leading attraction Cadbury World will be the Olympics, which will be hosted from Monday 18th to the 24th August.  This joint venture with Gamestation will allow visitors to show off their sporting prowess. Two promotional pods running a Nintendo Wii and the other running Wii fit will test the visitors’ strength, endurance, skill and sportsmanship.

Cadbury World visitors will have the opportunity to compete in 20 different Olympic events including Fencing, Archery, Gymnastics, Aquatics, Track and Field events and many more.  Each day the Olympics will start at opening time and finish at 6pm.  Over the week there will be the opportunity to win various prizes including a prize draw of a £100 voucher to spend at Gamestation.

Gerrard Baldwin, Cadbury World General Manager, said:

“We are delighted to offer this energetic event enabling our visitors to benefit more from their visit to Cadbury World.”

As well as this interactive fun, visitors will be entertained by Mario and a variety of Olympic themed events in the marquee.  On certain days, children will also be able to make their own Olympic torches to take away.  A whole host of prizes will be given away over the week so come and see if you are up for the challenge!

The Spirit of the Olympics is one of many events that Cadbury World will be hosting over the year.  Forthcoming events include Ghosts and Ghouls from the 18 October to 2 November as well as Christmas Winterland from the 15 November to 21 December.
