Revolutionary Recycling Retailer opens in the Pallasades
Since CeX (originally called Computer Exchange) launched its first ground-breaking store back in 1992, the Company has experienced radical international expansion. The latest store to launch is the pioneering CeX Phone Exchange which opened its doors on Saturday 21st July in The Pallasades Shopping Centre which is the first of its kind to buy, sell and recycle just mobile phones. Trading in your old phone is a great way to earn extra cash, pick up a new model at a fraction of the retail price and help the environment all at the same time!
Jonathan Cronin, Brand and Communication Manager for CeX urges people to sell or part exchange their old mobile phones before they become out-dated, “Recycling really can pay in more ways than one – every mobile phone battery that gets thrown away can contaminate 60,000 litres of drinking water – so it makes sense to sell or exchange your old models in order to earn yourself some cash and prevent further pollution. There are now more mobile phones than there are people, so if everyone threw their old phones away we would have a huge ecological problem on our hands.”
The Phone Exchange is the 40th CeX store to open worldwide, and the second store in Birmingham. Every phone offered for sale is second hand and comes with a 12 month warranty, so why not pop down to The Pallasades today and do your bit for the environment while earning yourself a tidy sum at the same time!
