Local Radio Station Wins the Heart of the Midlands
The latest radio industry figures released today show that 100.7 Heart fm continues to be the Midlands’ biggest radio station.* For the second time in a row, the station has more listeners in the West Midlands than any other radio station, including national stations BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2*.
Further to that success, 100.7 Heart fm’s listening hours grew by 3% from 7.9* million to 8.1 million* per week.
Commenting on the results, Andrew Robson, Programme Director for 100.7 Heart fm said: “We have spent a lot of time asking potential listeners what they’d love to hear. We’ve made a number of changes to the line-up, the music and the imaging of the station within the last twelve months and this is, without doubt, paying off.”
Anita Wright, Station Director for 100.7 Heart fm, added: “It’s great news commercially that our market share has increased from 10.0%* to 10.1%*, again giving us the biggest share of the West Midlands commercial radio market.”
