Our Digital City
What’s your memorable moment of 2010?
Want to share it with the rest of the world?
Join us on 23 July for the launch of an exciting new living archive!
Our Digital City is an online snapshot of Birmingham in 2010, celebrating the people, places and events that make the city great.
Brought to you by Hello Digital’s Say Hello programme, Digital Birmingham, Birmingham Libraries and BBC Big Screen, we’re looking for your memorable moments, whether you’ve captured them with a photo, an audio recording or written text.
Our Digital City will be in Victoria Square on Friday 23 July 2010 from 12 noon and we want everyone to join in from schools, families, residents and businesses. Why not play a part by uploading your moment at www.ourdigitalcity.me.uk
What does it look like? The online archive is a rectangular grid of our uploaded moments refreshed every hour. Click on any square on the grid and you will see or hear the story of that image. Anything that can be captured and retained digitally could appear. When taken together they result in a picture of living, working and playing in Birmingham in 2010.
History becomes browse-able by the future.
