Keith Jack to star in Joseph at Birmingham Hippodrome

When leading West End producer Bill Kenwright brings his acclaimed production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT to Birmingham Hippodrome (Tuesday 24 August – Sunday 12 September), audiences will undoubtedly recognise the young man in the leading role.

KEITH JACK, runner up in the hit BBC hit series Any Dream Will Do just narrowly missed out on the top spot to winner Lee Mead who went on to 72 weeks of sold out performances in the West End.  Watched by millions every Saturday night, the show was produced to find a leading man for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new West End production, and Keith, chosen from tens of thousands of wannabes, captivated audiences week after week with his boyish charm and sensational singing voice.

Bill Kenwright, one of the most successful and prolific producers in British theatre today, (whose current hit West End shows include Blood Brothers and Dreamboats and Petticoats) was on the expert panel of judges alongside Andrew Lloyd Webber and is delighted that Keith is taking on the lead role in the current UK tour.

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT retells the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours and marked the legendary partnership between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.   First seen in 1968 as a 15 minute ‘pop cantata’ it has gone on to become one of the world’s most established and successful musicals.

‘JOSEPH’, which boasts a score including Close Ev’ry Door to Me, One More Angel and the unforgettable Any Dream Will Do, provides the perfect theatre treat for families this summer holiday.
