Jam House Takes On A New Flavour

Birmingham's legendary Jam House has hit a fresh high note in its 10th anniversary year with an internationally inspired new menu for its popular restaurant.

The live music venue in St Paul's Square has taken influences as diverse as the worldwide line up of artists that have performed on stage over the years to give popular classic dishes a contemporary twist.

Starters range from homemade soup, a 'miniature' ploughman's or black pudding, poached egg and pancetta salad with pomegranate dressing, to a  prawn cocktail with 'brown bread ice cream’.

Main course choices include pan roast Scottish sirloin with cafe de Paris butter and frits, Moroccan flavoured monkfish with chick pea and red onion tagine, Spanish style 'Jam House' paella and an all encompassing 'Taste of the US' featuring a mini fillet burger, Southern chicken, coleslaw, macaroni cheese, corn on the cob, Boston baked beans and mini baked potato.

Desserts pander to the sweet toothed with luxury sherry trifle, traditional treacle tart with Cornish clotted cream ice cream and dark chocolate soufflé with milk chocolate sauce. A selection in miniature is also available as a Jam House 'Taster for Two'. There is also the option of an indulgent Jam House afternoon tea - with fresh scones, clotted cream and cakes with Tetley Tea ice cream.

John Bunce, Operations Director of the Jam House, said: "The Jam House has always been renowned for its great music and high quality dining. We believe our new menu will raise the bar for the best in city centre entertainment."
