Jenson Button confirmed at Driving Nation roadshow
Bridgestone has now confirmed that the surprise guest appearing on the second day of the launch event of its UK Driving Nation roadshow will be none other than current Formula One World Championship Leader Jenson Button.
Bridgestone’s Driving Nation roadshow starts on Wednesday 29th July in Birmingham’s Centenary Square and runs for two days from 10-4pm. Bridgestone aims to get up close and personal with motorists, finding out what pressures they are currently facing, what drives them mad about motoring today, what they believe the future holds for motoring in the UK. By bringing together the nation’s collective opinions on driving, Bridgestone will put the pleasure back into motoring by reminding us how great it can really be.
After continuing his pursuit of the World Championship at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Brawn GP’s Jenson Button will be flying in on Thursday 30th July to sign autographs and greet fans from 12pm onwards.
The Driving Nation roadshow will spread the word about greener motoring and canvas motorists’ views on the pressures of driving today, for instance…
- Is the cost of fuel a major concern?
- Is the condition of the nation’s roads actually affecting wear and tear on your tyres?
- Is congestion your biggest nightmare, what if the working day were staggered to eliminate rush hours altogether?
- Has the credit crunch meant that you have slowed down to conserve fuel, and save money on repair bills?

Bridgestone’s special links with F1, as this season’s Official Tyre Supplier, has meant that it has been able to secure the current leader of the F1 grid for the launch of its Driving Nation roadshow. Andy Dingley, marketing and promotions manager of Bridgestone said:
“We know that motorists are currently facing some of the biggest challenges ever, from the increasing cost of fuel, to environmental concerns over CO2 emissions, to the misery of congestion, sadly it seems that we have forgotten the pleasure of driving and the sheer unadulterated joy of getting behind the wheel!
“What better way to kick off our campaign than with the driver who quite simply has kept us glued to our TV sets over the last five months and has truly come into his own over this F1 season”.
