The return flight will leave Newquay at 11:00 and return to Birmingham at 12:15.
Flights will be operated by the Polish Airline, White Eagle Aviation, which is based in Warsaw-Okecie Airport and will be using an ATR42. The airline is privately owned and currently operates Whoosh’s twice daily flights to Dundee.
White Eagle has been operating for 13 years and currently undertakes scheduled and charter flights in both cargo and passenger operations.
Alan Fullilove, CEO & President from White Eagle said: “We are very happy to be able to extend the reach of the Whoosh brand across the UK and see Newquay as a very valuable summer route from Birmingham.”
Aden Murcutt, CEO of Whoosh said: “2005 was the last time anyone operated Birmingham – Newquay and they carried over 6,000 people in August alone! We are quite confident that this service will prove popular throughout the summer season.”
Peter Vella, Business Development Director of BIA commenting on the route said: “Whoosh is a new airline to start from Birmingham International Airport with its recent service to Dundee. Adding Newquay to its portfolio is an excellent choice enabling leisure travellers the chance to ‘Whoosh’ off to the sun, sea and sand of Cornwall.”
