TV girl joins Midlands' biggest radio station
Gorgeous ITV Central News presenter, Sarah-Jane Mee, will be joining Ed James on the 100.7 Heart fm Breakfast Show, while co-host Hellon Wheels takes time off to have her first baby due mid July.
27 year old Sarah-Jane has been in TV for six years working on Sky Sports, Central News East and Soccer Sunday. She currently can be seen on ITV Central where she is the face of sport for ITV in the Midlands. As well as presenting on Central News at Six every evening, she is the main presenter of the Central Soccer Night show.
Sarah-Jane has also fronted a number of ITV's regional programmes including Midlander of the Year, Britain on the Move and People's Millions. She also helped present the Boat Race 2005 alongside Gabby Logan and James Cracknell.
The ITV star grew up in London and now lives in Birmingham City Centre. She says the best part of her job is getting to meet so many big celebrities, David Beckham being one of her favourites!
On working at 100.7 Heart fm, Sarah-Jane said: "I can't wait to get started on the Breakfast show at Heart. Like most people in the Midlands I love to have a good chat in the morning about what's going on and listen to some great music to get me in the mood for the day ahead.
"Working for both Heart and ITV Central should be easy * Heart is only across the road! But swapping the legendary Bob Warman for Ed James might be tough; he's got a lot to live up to! I feel sorry for Ed as I won't be wearing my TV make-up first thing in the morning and he'll be lucky if I brush my hair - thankfully the listeners will be spared that trauma!"
Ed James, Breakfast Presenter for 100.7 Heart fm, added: "I'm really looking forward to working with Sarah-Jane and having her help me entertain the Midlands. I'm certain we'll have a lot of fun and hope she'll make sure I behave myself as well as Hellon does!"
