Football on the big screen

With little over a week to go before football fever grips the nation, plans are in place to transform West Bromwich’s The Public into a family-friendly fan zone.

Beacon Radio have teamed up with the innovative arts centre to screen England and other selected matches throughout the tournament as fans are invited to cheer the national team to glory in style.  Throughout the games they’ll be a barbecue, bouncy castle and plenty of entertainment and activities for all the family, including an opportunity to win a number of football themed goodies.

As the country prepares for a roller coaster of emotions, with an anticipated month of jubilation and heartache, football fans in Sandwell will be able to watch the key matches and critical moments on giant screens for free, in state of the art HD.

All of England’s group games on Saturday 12 June (k.o. 7.30pm), Friday 18 June (k.o. 7.30pm) and Wednesday 23 June (3pm) will be screened as well as the first game on Friday 11 June and further knockout rounds England are involved in.  To keep up to date with which games will be shown on the screens throughout the tournament visit www.thepublic.com or call 0121 533 7161.
