Birmingham young people given chance to shine at University of the First Age Summer Challenges

The University of the First Age summer challenges provide young people in Birmingham with fun packed weeks, as well as fantastic learning experiences.

Young people aged from 10-19 have the chance to spend time with industry professionals from top Birmingham companies and organisations such as Wragge & Co, the Birmingham Rep, Handsworth Community Fire Station, The National Trust, Symphony Hall, The Town Hall, Birmingham Conservatoire, UCE and the Birmingham Rangers Service, who are working closely with the University of the First age to provide weeks to remember for Birmingham young people.

Young Brummies who attend the summer challenges will use University of the First Age techniques to develop their skills and knowledge as well as having the opportunity to blossom through teamwork, communication and understanding themselves as learners. The chance to pick up vocational skills and employment experiences is only open to limited numbers so book early to avoid disappointment.

The UFA is offering 7 week long summer challenges starting in late July. The UFA are delighted that for this year places are entirely free and offered on a first come, first served basis.  Parents, schools and colleges can get booking forms by phoning the UFA summer challenge booking line on: 0121 212 9838 downloading a booking form from www.ufa.org.uk or by emailing: info@ufa.org.uk
