"Business Community Must Support Town Hall" Says Dla Piper, Performances Birmingham's (Town Hall & Symphony Hall) First Sponsor
International law firm DLA Piper UK LLP has called on the business community to lend its support to Birmingham's newly-restored Town Hall which re-opens in October. The company, which has a significant presence in Birmingham, is the first corporate sponsor under a new scheme for Town Hall & Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
Chris Rawstron, Partner, DLA Piper said: "There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the restored Town Hall will attract world class performers that will impress local and national audiences alike. I applaud the vision and hard work of all those involved with the restoration project, it is a fine example of what Birmingham working together, as one team, is capable of achieving. We cannot, however, take this institution for granted. It is vitally important that we all get behind the Town Hall and support it through sponsorship and use."
The sense of ownership of the Town Hall (which was originally funded by public subscription) is keenly felt by people in the Midlands, making it an ideal sponsorship opportunity for businesses wanting to connect with those living and working in the region. Companies can now get involved in Town Hall Birmingham, as corporate sponsors, on an ongoing annual basis. Tailor-made sponsorship packages could include exclusive hospitality areas and company credits in publicity materials. At the top level of sponsorship, benefits could also include naming rights for areas in the Town Hall.
Performances Birmingham (the independent charitable trust which runs Town Hall and Symphony Hall) provides companies with the exceptional prospect of partnership with the city's largest and most prestigious arts charity, which offers wide ranging opportunities to connect with local, national and international customers through entertaining, memorable and compelling artist experiences.
Andrew Jowett, Director, Town Hall & Symphony Hall said: "We are delighted to welcome DLA Piper on board as the first sponsor of Town Hall and Symphony Hall. As a not-for-profit organisation, we understand the importance of careful budgeting and, like our peers in business, we also recognise the importance of value for money. With this in mind, our team designs creative and flexible sponsorship packages for companies that will build a synergy between the Performances Birmingham brand and our sponsor's brand and promote them to our wide audiences."
