Birmingham’s Bonanza Summer of Carnivals and Festivals

Birmingham City Council has praised the spirit of civic pride which will see communities throughout Birmingham getting together to put on carnivals and festivals in what promises to be one of the busiest seasons of the year. In three months there are 20 carnivals or festivals taking place across Birmingham’s parks, high streets and playing fields.

Councillor Ray Hassall, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Sport and Culture at Birmingham City Council said: “This huge list of local and community carnivals and festivals is a reflection of the strength of community that exists throughout Birmingham. It shows Birmingham people are coming together this summer, giving up their free time to organise celebrations that are there for all to join in.“
