Factoring, Footie, Food and Frivolity

The UK factoring market continues to evolve and finance houses are continually redefining their traditional business models in an effort to restore higher margins in the small business sector. The Business Money Small Business Factors Conference will bring together the leading lights from UK factoring industry to discuss the issues of the day and evaluate new models for the factoring value chain.

The conference, to be held at the Copthorne Hotel on 15 June, will be followed by the Great Central Business Money Commercial Finance Dinner at the same venue in the evening.

“Running a small business factor is a challenge in 2006 and we aim to repeat the success of last year in addressing ways of improving competitiveness through increased margins and smoother service,” said Business Money group editor Bob Lefroy.

“No matter how busy people are it is clear that an opportunity to air issues in an open and independent forum is recognised as a positive way forward and we are delighted with the prospect of a lively conference and the supporting events,” he said.

The conference will be followed by a viewing of the England World Cup game against Trinidad and Tobago with drinks sponsored by Liquidity.

The Great Central Business Money Commercial Finance Dinner, a formal black tie function providing further networking opportunity will follow.
