Disney Classics Open at IMAX Cinema
This half term holiday, feel the roar, marvel at the expansive Pride Lands of Africa, and get up close to Simba like never before, as The Lion King: The IMAX Experience opens at Millennium Point on Friday 25 May. The enchanting Disney classic Beauty and the Beast: The IMAX Experience also opens on the big screen from Saturday 26 May.
Audiences will be dazzled at the clarity of the films on the giant IMAX screen, as high as a five story building and as wide as four buses nose to tail, and be amazed by 42 speakers of enhanced digital surround sound. The IMAX Experience brings a completely new dimension to these delightful Disney classics.
The Lion King tells the unforgettable story of Simba, the feisty lion cub who just can’t wait to be king. Breath-taking animation and Academy Award winning music set the stage for the epic adventures of the young lion cub as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destined role as king of the jungle.
Beauty and the Beast is the fairy tale of Belle, a beautiful woman kept in a castle by a horrific monster. However it turns out the monster is a prince, placed under a spell because he could not love. With its incomparable blend of magic and award-winning music, Beauty and the Beast is a charming story for princesses and princes of all ages!
