A bright future for The ICC, Birmingham

Four talented professionals will be joining The ICC’s Conference Sales team to drive business forward at the world-class venue in Birmingham. 

Kate Wimpeney, Head of Conference Sales; Linda Best, Account Director International Associations; Jane Ralphs, Account Manager and Lisa Cook, Account Manager will be joining The ICC team to build on the excellence of the venue on a national and international platform.

Kate Wimpeney, Head of Conference Sales, will bring 11 years of experience in the events and sales industry to the team and moves to The ICC from her previous role as Head of National Accounts at Expotel. Kate, who will lead a team of 12, will be responsible for securing new business, visitor experience and the development of the Conference Sales team. She said; “It will be a real privilege to have the opportunity to work at the country’s most prestigious conference venue. I have a passion for events and I am excited to be working back in the conference and events industry.” 

Linda Best, Account Director International Associations, has seven years experience of working at The ICC and will be taking on the new role after returning from maternity leave. The role will focus on attracting more international association meetings at the venue. 

Lisa Cook and Jane Ralphs join the team as Account Managers and will be responsible for developing key accounts and creating new business opportunities.

The ICC has long been established as an employer for choice and maintains an excellent record for retaining staff for over a decade, nearly one quarter of employees have been working at the venue since it opened in 1991.
