Introducing the first Bollinger Rosé exclusively at Selfridges
Bollinger Rosé available exclusively from Selfridges, £65.99
Almost a decade in the making but well worth the wait, a new Rosé from Champagne Bollinger launched at Selfridges on 8th April, and is set to be the Champagne of the summer.
This special non-vintage rosé is the first wine to come from the Bollinger range for over 30 years, when in the late 1970s the Bollinger La Grande Année Rosé was introduced, in which Madame Lily Bollinger herself took great pride.
This non-vintage interpretation is true to Bollinger’s distinctive house style and has been modelled on the Special Cuvée blend, combining the fruits of previous harvests with the addition of reserve wines from their cellars in Ay.
The final component, which provides the unique pink colour and delicate aromas of ripe red fruits, is a proportion of still red wine which comes from Bollinger’s Grand Cru Vineyards in the Cote d’Ay and Verzenay.
Dawn Davies, Selfridges’ sommelier says:” The launch of this non – vintage Bolllinger Rosé is one of the most exciting launches of the year, and is expected to attract considerable interest as soon as it hits the shelves. This is the Bond girls’ ultimate champagne and one that will be a star for years to come.”
Sales of Rosé Champagne have increased dramatically in the UK in the last few years, and it is fast becoming the fashionable drink of choice for both women and men.
And with the summer social season just around the corner, sales of Champagne are set to soar all over again. Kicking off the season, race goers at Royal Ascot are expected to drink their way through more than 185,000 bottles of Champagne in one week and that is just the start.
Bollinger Rosé will be available from all Selfridges’ stores from Tuesday 8th April priced £65.99. A special Bollinger Rosé gift pack is also available.
