CBSO Announces Third Fundraising Gala Ball
A perfect summer evening with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra is in store with the third annual charity Gala Ball on Saturday 9 June 2007. Set in the grounds of Meriden Hall, Warwickshire and hosted by Adrian Goldberg, the ball will raise money for the Orchestra’s Education and Community programme which reaches over 28,000 people every year.
A Champagne reception to the sound of the CBSO’s Leo Quartet will be followed by a delicious four-course dinner. Magnificent auction lots to bid for include a Royal Albert Hall box for the CBSO’s appearance at the BBC Proms, a hot air balloon trip and a Punch and Judy Show. The raffle prizes are also excellent with a luxury pamper day at “Obsession Spa” and a wine tasting at the award-winning “Opus” restaurant up for grabs.
Music from the CBSO’s Little Big Time Band, a disco and a few surprises means, as well as being a great night out, it is a wonderful opportunity to help the CBSO’s Education and Community programme thrive. The programme takes live music into schools, nursing homes and enables more people to experience live music who wouldn’t otherwise have the chance.
Tickets for the ball are on sale now and cost £95 plus VAT per person or £950 plus VAT for a table of 10. To book tickets please contact Rachel Ormston on 0121 616 6500 or email rormston@cbso.co.uk.
