The Belfry boots charity appeal with exclusive auction lot
Four-time Ryder Cup venue The Belfry is donating a money-can’t-buy round on the famous Brabazon course with two of the region’s top sportsmen to raise money for underprivileged children in a special Heart 100.7 charity auction.
The successful bidder in the ‘Have A Heart’ auction will receive a twoball on the Ryder Cup course with Birmingham City and England footballer Kevin Phillips and top European Tour pro Robert Rock – and have the honour of Heart Breakfast Show presenters Ed James and Rachel New caddying for them. The exclusive prize also includes lunch in the clubhouse and a series of luxurious treatments in Simply The Spa at The Belfry for the golfers’ partners.
The package is one of a number of auction lots available to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which changes the lives of children in hospitals and hospices around the country, including within the West Midlands.
“This is a fantastic prize that should raise a lot of money for an excellent cause,” said Nigel Gray, Operations Manager UK for Quinn Hotels. “Not only can two lucky golfers meet and play with some local sporting heroes, but they’ll do so on one of the most historic golf courses in the world. It’s an experience they will never forget.”
The ‘Have A Heart’ auction for the Belfry prize will take place from 7-8am on Thursday 18 March. Anybody interested in bidding can register pre-bids on the website www.heart.co.uk/westmids.
