Birmingham City University’s NTI wins IT Award
The NTI in Birmingham, part of Birmingham City University, has won a prestigious award from the Institute of IT Training (IITT). The NTI was awarded IT Training Learning Facilities of the Year, in recognition of both the excellent facilities and the top class customer service. The award was presented by Sky News reader Lucy Alexander during the official awards ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel, London on Friday 15th February 2008 in front of a capacity audience of over 450 training industry professionals.
The award was received by Oliver Williams, Programme Manager and Merlinda Charlery, Operations Manager. Oliver said, “It is a wonderful feeling to receive this award, one of the key services we set up when we opened the NTI in Birmingham was to offer excellent facilities, support and service to private and public training providers who run IT training, this award shows what a great job we’ve done since opening in 2006 in exceeding our client’s expectations”.
The judging criteria included the approach taken to sales and marketing, client satisfaction, the flexibility of the venue to meet client requirements, service delivery, staff development and business performance. The competition included 70 other venues from around the UK.
The IITT award follows on the success of the NTI being given an award from the British Council for Offices in recognition for the design and practical use of the building in 2006. The judging panel were impressed by the ‘wow’ factor the building has, created by the striking exterior, spacious, light entrance and excellent conferencing facilities.
