Birmingham International Airport February Passenger Figures
Birmingham International Airport (BIA) handled 581,248 passengers during February, including 472,875 scheduled passengers and 108,373 charter passengers spread across the two passenger terminals; a decrease of 2.9% over the previous year.
Joe Kelly, Acting Managing Director said: “BIA saw a slight decrease in passenger figures during the month of February. The impact of the snow and closure of the Airport for a couple of hours on two consecutive days resulted in BIA losing some of its inbound and outbound aircraft traffic. However on a positive note we are looking forward to the summer season, especially with all the new routes and increased frequencies that have recently been announced by our partner airlines and tour operators, thereby giving passengers even more choice.”
