The renowned Salon Culinaire is the UK's largest internationally respected chef’s competition, which served over 85 competition classes over five days. This feast of a show aims to illustrate the skills and talents of those working in the food service and hospitality industry.

Sally Davis, Managing Director, Group Catering, said: “We are delighted that the skill of so many of our talented and dedicated chefs has been recognised.  We have a first class team, delivering excellent food on a daily basis across our venues.”

“Ultimately, we are aiming to set the benchmark for catering excellence across the live events and exhibition industry by putting our food first and developing every aspect of what we do from good to great and on to world class.  Collecting awards such as these demonstrates that we are heading in the right direction.”

Chefs competed in three categories: the Live Theatre, where 400 chefs cooked in front of a live audience; Salon Display which showcased creative displays of works in marzipan, sugar craft, pastillage, chocolate and fat; and
La Parade des Chefs, the renowned fine dining experience at the heart of Hotelympia 2008, where competing teams of international chefs catered for visitors and their guests.
