Birmingham’s Most Improved Young Sports Person
To celebrate the European Athletic Championships next month, The Pallasades has once again launched its competition to find Birmingham’s Most Improved Young Sports Person.
Following eleven year old Bertram Williams’ success in The Pallasades ‘Most Improved Young Sports Person’ competition last year, the prestigious award is back and promises to reward and recognise those young sports people whose hard work and determination should be encouraged.
Joined by a host of prominent judges from the world of Birmingham’s sport, nominees will be invited to the centre on Wednesday 28th February at 4pm for a special prize giving ceremony.
Each nominee will receive a certificate to commend them for their efforts whilst the winner will receive The Pallasades’ special star award and a whole host of sporting goodies as recognition of their wonderful success.
Jonathan Cheetham, General Manager at The Pallasades will be one of the judges and he is keen to support these exceptional individuals. “Encouragement is key to developing our future sporting heroes,” he commented. “And it is great that we have an award such as this to highlight these children’s efforts. We are not looking for the ‘stars’ of the sport but it is our hope that those who are perhaps not as naturally gifted as others will be encouraged to reach their full potential."
All the entries will be judged on a variety of attributes including how they have improved in their chosen sport, how their skills have developed, the commitment they have shown or how their overall sportsmanship and attitude have influenced and encouraged their peers.
If you know someone who you think should be included, simply check out the nomination form online at www.thepallasades.co.uk or call The Pallasades on 0121 633 3070 to find out more.
