Giant Christmas ‘Countdown Clock’ unveiled at The Bullring
It’s official - the countdown to Christmas has finally begun thanks to Terry’s Chocolate Orange! To celebrate the start of the festive season, the largest ever ‘Christmas Countdown’ clock has been unveiled in The Bullring, Birmingham, designed by New Zealand inventor, Joseph Herscher.
The unique clock is in the shape of a giant glass sphere - mirroring the iconic shape of a Terry’s Chocolate Orange - and contains over 200 Terry’s Chocolate Orange balls. The kinetic movement of the balls will keep the clock ticking right through to December 25th as excitement builds towards the big day!
When the clock reaches the hour, it will light up and a specially created ‘chime’ will ring in the time. The scent of that great Christmas treat – a Terry’s Chocolate Orange – will also be released into the air!
And if that’s not enough, on the hour, every hour, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in December until Christmas Eve, Terry’s little helpers will be giving out Terry’s Chocolate Orange chocolate to Birmingham’s Christmas shoppers, so come and enjoy a bit of festive fun!
