First Light Nears First Night…

The Old Joint Stock Theatre (4 Temple Row, Birmingham)
Thursday 26th November, 7pm and 9pm

First Light Theatre, a new Birmingham theatre company directed by Lucy Poulson, is looking forward to its premiere at The Old Joint Stock Theatre later this month.

RADIO, by Al Smith, is a play about memory, love and spaceships. It parallels a young man’s coming of age with the birth and death of the Apollo Space Program, and explores the consequences of our losing sight of the earth…

Never more relevant, US soldier Charlie Fairbanks, a farmer-turned-flag maker’s son, begins by explaining to his audience that he’s telling us his story because he’s “afraid he’ll never come back….”

The event is also listed on FACEBOOK "RADIO by Al Smith" if you would like to find out more or let us know you'll be coming...

The play lasts approximately 1hr.

First Light Theatre will also be reviving "The Collector"
(by Mark Healy, based on John Fowles novel) in March.
