Superstar P!nk is to Play a Major Outdoor Concert at The Ricoh Arena Next Year

The Grammy and Brit Award winning artist has announced that she will bring her Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour to the Ricoh on Thursday, June 24 for a one-night gig.

The announcement is another major coup for the £113 million venue which hosted Take That and the Oasis this summer.

Tickets priced at £45 (subject to booking fee) for general admission for standing and reserved seats will go on sale on Monday from 10am and the promoters are confident the show will be the latest in a line of sell-out shows at the venue.

Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, said: “This is great news for the Ricoh and for Coventry. We have always set our stall out to attract a wide variety of live performers to the Ricoh and P!nk is one of the biggest names in live music.

“The Funhouse tour has been one of the biggest grossing shows and is so popular that the promoters are bringing it back to the UK next year, but this time playing outdoor stadium gigs.

“We believe we have earned an international reputation for hosting the highest quality entertainment and this announcement will introduce a whole new audience to the Ricoh and the city as well as giving local people the chance to see one of the hottest acts around.”

P!nk has had a meteoric rise to fame since the start of the decade and has seen her release five top selling albums which have spawned a series of chart topping singles and a series of sold out and record breaking world tours.

Her current tour, The Funhouse Tour, has sold out across the world in the last 18 months and next year’s dates have been added to meet continuing demand.

The Funhouse Album was released last year and the track So What! was her first American Billboard Hot 100. The track has also reached number one in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Germany.
