Drayton Manor Theme Park Welcomes One-Millionth Visitor

Drayton Manor Theme Park’s phenomenal 2008 season has been capped by welcoming its one-millionth visitor.

Mark Dodsworth from Sandiacre, near Nottingham, visited the park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire, today (Tuesday 28th October) with wife Kaley and children Laura, aged five, and two-year-old Nathan, to enjoy the park’s half-term holiday celebration.

To mark this momentous occasion, Drayton Manor Theme Park has treated the family to a Season Ticket, which will provide them with unlimited and free entry into the park throughout the whole of the 2009 season.

Mr Dodsworth commented: “This is amazing. We came to enjoy a day-out but now we can come back anytime we want during the whole of 2009. Drayton Manor has something for the whole family. To be the millionth visitor is very exciting.”

Colin Bryan, Managing Director of Drayton Manor Theme Park, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome our one-millionth visitor and I’m looking forward to seeing them back in 2009.

“I would like to thank each and every one of our visitors who has come to the park over the year. You have all helped achieve this fantastic milestone and made this an amazing season. The opening of Thomas Land in March really helped put Drayton Manor Theme Park on the national and even international map, with some visitors even coming from Japan and America.”

Drayton Manor Theme Park‘s 2008 season will come to an end on Sunday 2nd November, but Thomas Land will reopen from Saturday 22nd November to Sunday 4th January 2009 for a magical Christmas extravaganza.

The whole theme park will reopen for the 2009 season on Saturday 21st March until Sunday 1st November.
