Arty Half Term Fun at Coventry Transport Museum

Coventry Transport Museum 27th - 31st October 2008

There's lots to do at Coventry Transport Museum this Half Term with a different craft activity every day!

Visitors young and old can drop in at the Museum and have a go at fabric painting including t-shirts, umbrellas and bags; using wool and thread to create stunning works of art, masks or bookmarks. If you have a favourite photo and you'd like to produce an original frame for it, there's plenty of fabric available to recycle to decorate your own frame. Be inspired by the Museum's Silk Connections exhibition and paint your own masterpiece. The Museum's arty week finishes on Halloween and visitors can have their face painted in a suitably scary style or choose from a plate, bowl or mug and cover it with creepy colours.

There is also a Hedgehog Hunt Quiz throughout the week which will keep visitors busy whilst they explore the Museum. There are loads of hands on activities and interactive exhibits to keep everyone entertained - children and adults alike and what's more, it's absolutely free to get in.

Julia Gandy, Lifelong Learner Officer at the Museum said:
"We're really looking forward to a very creative week and can't wait to see the masterpieces produced by visitors to the Museum!"
