Birmingham’s Jewel in the ‘Crowne’
The £16m refurbishment of the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre is complete with weekend occupancy rates already up by 18 per cent.
The 13 month project sees the opening of B1, a new destination restaurant, a floor dedicated to meeting and conference rooms, two Club floors and the Vista Suite which offers panoramic views over the city.
All 312 bedrooms have also been redesigned to create a more relaxing and comfortable environment.
Michael Mason, general manager of the hotel said: “Birmingham is a world-class venue for business and tourism and we hope our revitalised Crowne Plaza will complement the city’s offering in an internationally competitive market.
“We enjoyed hosting members of the Conservative party last week and look forward to being the host hotel for other high profile events such as the Rotary Convention and the World Half Marathon.”
“We are delighted with the positive reaction we are already getting from both corporate and leisure clients."
There are 11 meeting and conference rooms in total, including the new Vista Suite which accommodates up to 180 delegates for banqueting or 300 in theatre-style seating. The Club floors contain 56 Club bedrooms and two junior suites that come with a separate lounge and dining area.
The official launch event of the hotel is taking place on Thursday 13th November.
