SNOW DEFINITELY ON WAY FOR BIRMINGHAM HIPPODROME
Birmingham Hippodrome will be expecting snow next month when the magical and acclaimed SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW returns to the theatre for just one week only from Tuesday 6 – Saturday 10 November 2007.
SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW enjoyed an extraordinary visit to Birmingham Hippodrome last year when audiences packed out its auditorium to enjoy a show that melted the hardest of hearts and transformed sensible adults into awestruck children.
SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW is a stunning spectacle of beautifully crafted theatrical clowning, combining the unbridled silliness of slapstick with visual extravagance and beauty, all of which has established SLAVA as a creative genius of international acclaim. SLAVA creates a world of dream-like-logic where one astonishing image melts into the next. A bed becomes a boat and a web envelopes the audience. But it is the show’s memorable finale that literally takes the breath away leaving most of the audience knee deep in snow!
Russian born SLAVA has won countless awards and has performed in over 25 countries to more than 1 million spectators. SNOWSHOW, like all of his work, is best described as a work in progress, constantly changing and comprising new inventions, new inspirations and new ideas. SLAVA recently premiered Diabolo in Europe and is working on three other creations, Baden-Baden, Schisok and Ship of Fools.
SNOWSHOW took Birmingham Hippodrome by storm last year and has already gained a celebrity fan-base including Angelina Jolie, Colin Farrell, Moby and Scarlet Johansson.
