Bullring Celebrates the British Asian Hafta Awards

Bullring will host the official launch of the inaugural British Asian Hafta Awards on 8 October at 12 noon, organised by Women of Cultures.

The high profile Awards recognise the achievements and contributions made by British Asian workers, and the diversity of their employers, providing a platform for wider recognition across communities in the Midlands.

Bullring is sponsoring one of six categories – Best Female Employer.  The other categories include: Best Male Employer, Pioneer Award, Most Diverse Company, Best Male Employee and Best Female Employee.

Women of Cultures CEO, Gurjeet Bains, said: “We are very grateful to Bullring for their fantastic support of this event.  Asians contribute to British life in every aspect, their culture and music have already made significant inroads, and their entrepreneurial skills are drive to succeed is exceptional”

The Awards will be attended by Councillor Alan Rudge, Cabinet Member for Equalities and Human Resources, at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre on 28 October.  The gala dinner and event are part of a fourteen day tribute to British Asian success and achievement.

Bullring has a representative that sits on the revered panel of judges partaking in the search for the “Face of British Asian Hafta”.  The winner will have the opportunity to take part in the fashion show at the event and grace the catwalk wearing original designs from the cream of the Midlands’ designers.
