Slava’s Snowshow Comes to Birmingham

Direct from New York and prior to London’s West End, Birmingham Hippodrome brings SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW to its stage from Tuesday 14 – Saturday 18 November 2007.

A multiple award-winning production, this internationally acclaimed theatrical experience has wowed audiences in over 80 cities around the world and counts Angelina Jolie, Moby, Spike Lee and Scarlett Johansson as its many celebrity fans.

SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW is a stunning spectacle of beautifully crafted theatrical clowning, combining the unbridled silliness of slapstick with visual extravaganza and beauty. Slava and his ensemble of clowns use water, cobwebs, bubbles and dry ice with dazzling effect to create a world of dream-like logic where one astonishing image melts into the next. The show then culminates in a blinding heart-stopping blizzard that engulfs the audience in a blizzard of sparkling snowflakes.

SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW first came to the UK ten years ago and has since gone on to great acclaim. Created by the Russian clowning genius Slava Polunin, it has won numerous awards including the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment.
