Legendary US singer Tony Bennett is to appear at Symphony Hall Birmingham
Legendary US singer Tony Bennett is to appear at Symphony Hall Birmingham on Saturday 3 July, as part of an intimate five date UK and Ireland tour.
Early on in his career Bennett worked as a singing waiter, before being chosen to open for Bob Hope and going on to perform up to seven shows daily to screaming fans at New York’s Paramount Theatre. He shot to fame in the 1960s and 1970s, and has since sold 50 million records worldwide, won fifteen Grammy Awards and has become one of the most popular jazz and American standards singers of all time.
