February Half-Term Fun

Drayton Manor Theme Park, located near Tamworth, Staffordshire, will throw open the gates to its hugely successful Thomas Land™ attraction during the February half-term holiday (Saturday 14th February – Sunday 22nd February).

In previous years, only the park’s zoo has been open during this school holiday, but due to the popularity of Thomas Land since it opened in March 2008, Drayton Manor has decided to give mums, dads and children an extra week of fun with Thomas the Tank Engine and all his friends.

Thomas Land features 12 rides based on Thomas & Friends™ characters, such as Cranky’s Drop Tower and the Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster. There are indoor and outdoor play areas, a restaurant and a shop. Visitors will also be able to meet the Fat Controller, Sir Topham Hatt.

Thomas Land will be open daily from 12pm to 5pm.

As well as the excitement of Thomas Land, families can explore the 15-acre zoo, which is home to a huge variety of animals from tigers and leopards, to snakes and spiders, as well as exotic birds, mischievous meerkats and playful penguins. There are also monkeys and primates, tapirs, ostriches, reindeer and many more to help keep children and adults alike entertained.

The whole of Drayton Manor Theme Park will re-open for the 2009 season on Saturday 21st March until Sunday 1st November. The new attraction for the coming year is a sensational 4D Effects Theatre.
