UK’s Premier Convention Centre welcomes World Veterinary Conference
The UK’s premier purpose-built convention centre has been successful in winning one of the world’s largest meetings of international veterinary professionals.
The annual World Small Animal Veterinary Congress will be staged at The ICC, Birmingham venue from 2 – 5 April 2012. The event is scheduled to coincide with the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) Annual Conference.
Established to encourage and promote excellence in small animal veterinary practice, the WSAVA has 76 member and affiliate organisations representing some 70,000 individual veterinarians from around the world.
Catherine Newhall-Caiger, Director of International Sales, The ICC, said: “The WSAVA is yet another world-class international meeting that will be hosted here at The ICC. This event was last held here in 1997 and I am exceptionally pleased to be able to welcome them back to The ICC.”
“The BSAVA was the very first association to hold an event here at The ICC when the venue opened in 1991 and they have returned to us every year since. We have developed an excellent relationship with the organisers and I know that the whole team here are looking forward to this prestigious event.”
Professor Ed Hall, President of the BSAVA, said: "The ICC in Birmingham remains the best conference venue I have ever attended, not just in terms of its facilities and professionalism, but also in the warmness of the welcome.”
Previous WSAVA World Congresses have been held in Dublin, Amsterdam, Prague, Mexico City and Bangkok.
